I had a great experience learning to ski! Rodney was knowledgeable, helpful and supportive. We only had a class of 2 people so I can’t speak to a larger group experience, but he was very patient and his tips were spot on. By the end of the lesson I felt good enough to take on another 3 hrs of skiing by myself.

Big bear location review: My 5 year old had a blast with his instructor. Shout out to Kody! My 8 year old was made fun of, shamed, and belittled in the 30 mins it took me to realize what was going on and pull him. He is a polite, sweet little rule follower - never had a bad word said about him by any adult ever. To see him walk by me, head down with his eyes welling up with tears was horrible and I immediately knew something was very wrong. Then to hear how he was treated by a grown adult who was supposed to be making his learning experience fun was shocking. Some people aren't cut out to work with kids and this specific instructor should never be allowed to work with kids again. Management handled it well, refunded our money and reported the instructor. Kudos to them for that. I'd recommend watching very closely if you choose to put your kids in this school.

We didn't have good experience at all. We came after a holiday so it wasn't the busiest of the season. Still, kid was left alone most of the time. I had to shout to my kid to find his coach and his group. At the end we left an hour early because kid was already full of frustration and in tears.

Had a good experience with ski instructor Teddy. His tips were spot on for us beginners, and he was super patient with the one person who was struggling in our trip down at the end. Unfortunately my girlfriend's snowboarding instructor was not so patient. Her class had only 2 students, but he was so impatient and rushing to end the class that he left them halfway down the mountain without helping them get down. It was such a bad experience that she had to return her snowboard for skis.

Poor management, mostly new staff, don't know what to do. Kids was mostly play and resting all the time. Totally waste money unless you are a first timer.
