Hi everyone! Here is the information you need, that NOBODY provides anywhere on any website associated with this ski school. Yes, it is weird that this information is not given. So, here it goes:

Group lessons for kids meet at the top of the first ski lift "the eggs" about 10 minutes before the lesson starts.

They'd not allow water bottles, or water breaks for the entire lesson. So hydrate and pee well beforehand.

The closest toilet is at the mountain hut, downstairs.

You need to buy the tickets in advance for the lessons, and pick them up before the lemon starts at the little office next to the lift exit.

Your ski school does not include a ski pass. That has to be purchased separately at the main office of the ski lift entrance.

If your card is damaged for some reason, you have to go all the way down the mountain to the ticket office and buy a replacement for 2 euros.

IF YOU ASK ANYBODY ANYTHING, THEY WILL JUST ANSWER THAT THEY KNOW NOTHING.

Welcome to Italy. That is just the way it is.

On the official Sci Scuola Valtournenche website on Feb 21 I booked a ski lessons for Feb 22 for 2 hours. Booking including insurance was 105 EUR. Due to heavy winds on Feb 22 the ski lifts were closed. Hence, I called Sci Scuola Valtournenche to arrange the ski lessons for another day, thinking that the same funds can be used for the ski lessons on another date, but unfortunately things don’t work the simple way at this company. To book a new time and date for the ski lessons I had to make a new booking and pay another 105 EUR. Luckily on Feb 24 the weather conditions were good, and the ski lessons took place.

To get a refund for the ski lessons which didn’t happen on Feb 22, I went to the Sci Scuola Valtournenche office. There I was told that, because I made the booking with insurance, I have to submit a claim on gbc-mountain.com and that the insurance company is fairly quick in paying back the refund, namely it would usually take about 2 weeks to get the refund. Fine with me, on Feb 25 I went to gbc-mountain.com, submitted a claim providing all required information and got a reference number. It’s been now more than 6 weeks – nobody has contacted me and I haven’t received a refund.

I haven’t tried contacting gbc-mountain.com, because looking at the Google reviews people have left about this company, there is no point in trying to contact them, because it’s impossible to get a hold of them, and without running after this company, no refund would be paid.

I am writing this in hope Sci Scuola Valtournenche can help me in getting this sorted. I will be happy to change the review and rating once I receive my refund.

Such a bad service just for doing the booking!! Its so hard work to book! They should be the ones interested in doing the business, not me! I 've tried to book over then phone, they told me to ring again and when I did ring again I was told that I needed to send an email. Fair enough, I did so, I sent an email and three days later, still no reply. I then phone again and they told me that they did not have time to answer my email!!!! Still can't believe these. They also gave me information that they did not give me in the first phone call, as less availability of the instructor.. Nor sure really how to handle this. I hope they improve THEIR service to THEIR costumers.
